Having cut their teeth in local rock & metal bands since they were 13, playing shows across Ontario and beyond, this contrasted with their upbringing in regional choirs, musicals and theatre performances. In their later years, they became a songwriter and producer for many notable creators across YouTube and TikTok, producing hundreds of metal covers and original songs from their bedroom, which helped amass followings of hundreds of thousands, if not millions of fans & streams for the creators they worked under. Now, they are honing their craft and creating music for themselves that explore themes of betrayal, heartbreak and the true story behind fame in the modern age.

Rakeh3ll’s debut solo album, “she begged 4 cigarettes,” is a concept record that describes a tragic love story, detailing brutal accounts of pain and anguish all while showing empathy for the person who wronged them and understanding her perspective as to why she treated them this way. It’s a breakup story that anyone can relate to and is set to a raw, modern, yet nostalgic rock sound that blends elements of hardcore, metal, and hip hop seamlessly and beautifully. Rakeh3ll demonstrates their abilities as a masterful storyteller and showcases their ability to transcend genres by attempting to redefine rock music for the 21st century.
